Coopersridge Saddle Pads Sponsored Riders
Meet our Sponsored Riders!
These amazing and dedicated riders work hard to help promote Coopersridge Saddle Pads across Canada and the United States. Each rider works in partnership with a local tack shop and will be happy to answer questions about our saddle pads.
Madison Wood – Ontario, Canada
My passion for competition and challenge lead me to my passion of horses. I rode Western Pleasure for the first 11 years of my riding career, and then moved on to barrel racing. With my first mare, Oats, we earned spots on the NBHA Canadian Youth Team, as well as the NYATT Ontario Congress Team and won various 1D youth NBHA (National Barrel Horse Assoc.) and OBRA (Ontario Barrel Horse Assoc.) titles throughout 2012-2015.With my current horse, A Dirty Martini, a 2007 QH mare we are successfully competing in the NBHA and OBRA circuits. We finished in the Top 5 in the NBHA youth 1D for District 1. We have also competed at the 2016 All American Quarter Horse Congress and the 2017 NBHA Youth World Championships. As an athlete and competitor, I’m looking for my tack to aid my horse and myself in being our best, and that is what Coopersridge saddle pads does for myself and my horse.
Samantha Krieger – Ontario, Canada
My name is Samantha Krieger. I am a 26 year old eventer from Ontario Canada. I have competed up to the intermediate level, and introduced many young horses to the sport of eventing. Currently I am developing a couple young horses: my own Ndugu (Lionel) and Susan Laverty’s Coal Harbour.
I have been using the Coopersridge saddle pads for about 6 months now and I am thrilled with the positive results I have seen in my horses. I have found that the horses I use them on feel freer in their shoulders, have a larger step, are more relaxed and tend to travel straighter. In addition, the half pads have helped to keep my saddle from twisting when no other pad would. I also really appreciate the colours the pads come in as well as how easy it is to wash the pads.
Scott Zehr – Ontario, Canada
I’m Scott Zehr, team roper and pickup man for the Rawhide Rodeo of the IPRA(International Professional Rodeo Association). I live on a small farm just outside of Listowel Ontario with my two girls, two dogs, and three horses. Growing up I was always around horses. Following in the footsteps of my older brother, at the age of 15 I found myself joining the High School Rodeo. I’ve been in the saddle ever since, it’s like my second home. When I was 24 I moved out west to work on a ranch for two years but decided to move back home to Ontario and be closer to my family. In my free time I enjoy riding with my girls, going on occasional trail rides and working with my young horses. Hope you enjoyed this glimpse into my life, I look forward to seeing you on the rodeo road!
Ben Meritt – Florida, USA
Ben Merritt owns and operates a successful training and sale barn in Ocala Florida. Originally from England he now shows regularly on the east coast.
“Within the first 5 walk strides I knew that Coopersridge Products were the real deal. The horses jump softer through their back and the overall technique is far better. I have used most pads on the market but none are comparable to Coopersridge.”

Training horses and riders are my greatest passions. I strive to promote the equine industry professionally while keeping horses happy and healthy.
Renee Baker – California, USA
I am a second generation horse woman, daughter of Jim and May Baker who were highly recognized in the Arabian and Quarter horse world and won numerous awards, and I am proud to carry on the family tradition on the west coast. When we were at Del National and needed perfect pad that would work underneath all my saddles I bought my first Coopersridge pad. It was fantastic, so much I put my husband on the task of researching more information on them, we found out that Derrick was coming to Southern California, he made time and came and met us at the barn in Burbank.Derrick suggested we saddle up a horse, so we picked my husbands Reiner/Ranch horse, he said use the pad we usually use, so my husband got on and started ride, we chatted and discussed how he was pumping in the saddle and his body position. We stopped and he fitted the Coopersridge pad to his horse and re-saddled, he got back on and started riding again. For the first time the saddle was level and the pumping motion was gone, his body position was 100% better. At present we have 4 Coopersridge pads and shims with a date to meet up with Derrick to fit our clients horses. We are so proud to highly recommend Coopersridge pads to everyone and to be part of the Coopersridge Team!
